Our Ringwood 1sts T20 came unstuck as they were downed by Essendon Maribyrnong Park 1sts T20 on a tough day.
We batted first and put 10/82 on the board from 19 overs. Alexandra Sheedy made a valuable 24 off 21 balls. Ella Hayward was the best of Essendon Maribyrnong Park 1sts T20's bowlers, finishing with four for 9.
In reply, the visitors passed our total, finishing on 1/83 in 14.4 overs. Hayward held our opponents' innings together with 36.
The visitors were simply too good on the day. It's two defeats on the trot, and the side will be eager to bounce back. Plenty to work on, and plenty to like.
