There were smiles all round after our Ringwood 2nd XI took the honours against Kingston Hawthorn 2nd XI on Saturday in Kookaburra Men's Premier.
With the bat, we made 10/279; Kingston Hawthorn 2nd XI made 10/237. Fifty for Charlie Moore, who finished with 79 off 137 balls. Daniel Ivanovic made a cracking 69 off 92 balls, a well-made fifty. Mark Donegan contributed 38 off 66 balls. Credit to Zarak Aseel, who took three for 25 for our opponents.
Moore was the pick of our bowlers with four for 6. Isaac Macklin offered good support with two for 27. Charlie Aldridge posted 74 for the visitors, a fine fifty.
Big runs from our top order made the difference.
