It just wasn't our day: our Ringwood 3rd XI were downed by Kingston Hawthorn 3rd XI.
Kingston Hawthorn 3rd XI batted first and reached 10/195 from 44 overs. Our opponents' best was a half-century from Kavindu Nirmana, who made 50. Xavier Noonan was the pick of the bowlers, taking three for 55 off six overs. Toby Bickell chipped in with two for 21.
Our chase ended at 161 from 37.5 overs. The top score came from Will Banfield, who made 41 off 66 balls. Gabe Lawson played a handy knock of 40. James Matthews contributed 35 off 47 balls.
There were some stylish individual efforts to build on. The results haven't gone our way lately, but the side will keep at it.
