There was no joy for our Ringwood 3rd XI, who were unable to get the better of Melbourne 3rd XI at Albert Ground.
In terms of totals, it was Ringwood 3rd XI 10/114 and Melbourne 3rd XI 10/351. Will Banfield played a quality hand of 48 off 74 balls. Kyle Williamson bowled well for our opponents, taking four for 8.
Jarryd Cameron starred with the ball, taking four for 66. Isaac Macklin chipped in with three for 65. The hosts' Sam Anderson made a fine 170 not out. Charlie Wolf passed fifty for our opponents, finishing with 55.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again.
