The Ringwood 3rd XI were second best against Melbourne University 3rd XI.
Batting first, we were all out for 135 in 43.2 overs. Jarryd Cameron batted well for 40 off 53 balls with four fours and one six. Will Banfield added a useful 24 off 47 balls. Jacob Stevenson bowled well for Melbourne University 3rd XI, taking four for 14.
Our opponents knocked off the runs, finishing on 10/215 in 42.2 overs. The hosts' best was a half-century from Leo Hatzoglou, who made 69. Fifty for Connor Hastings, who made 67 for our opponents. Isaac Macklin picked up three for 14 off eight overs. Cameron also took three for 32.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again. Credit to the hosts, and well played.
