In Kookaburra Men's Premier, our Ringwood 4th XI came up short against Camberwell Magpies 4th XI at Watson Park.
Over the course of the match we totalled 10/160, and Camberwell Magpies 4th XI 9/389. Aiden Boby's 57 off 68 balls was a half-century to remember. John Newington-Bridges chipped in with 42. Our opponents' Robert Capstick was the standout with the ball, taking five for 25.
Thomas LAVELLE tore through the batting order, taking five for 95. Ethan Yates offered good support with three for 73. Credit to Arya Gupta, who made a half-century (83) for the hosts. Our opponents' best was a half-century from Viman Fernando, who made 69.
There were some stylish individual efforts to build on. The boys will be keen to turn things around after three straight losses.
Plenty to work on, and plenty to like.
