Despite some good moments, our Ringwood 1st XI were bettered by Casey South Melbourne 1st XI on home soil.
The scorecard reads Ringwood 1st XI 199, Casey South Melbourne 1st XI 5/217. Jackson Freeman's 76 off 122 balls was a half-century to remember. Ian Holland made 35 off 82 balls. Credit to Harry Hoekstra, who claimed a five-wicket haul (five for 32) for our opponents.
Dylan Walker bowled well to finish with two for 21. A century to Ashley Chandrasinghe for the visitors: 108 not out. Yash Pednekar added 39 for our opponents.
Plenty to take out of this one.
The results haven't gone our way lately, but the team will keep at it. Back to the nets, and on to the next one.
