Despite some good moments, our Ringwood 1sts were downed by Box Hill 1sts in Kookaburra Women's Premier.
We bowled Box Hill 1sts out for 204 in 49.5 overs. Yashoda Senarathne posted 63 for the visitors, a fine fifty. Tegan Rule picked up two for 15 off five overs. Sophie MacMahon weighed in with two for 26 off 7.5 overs.
Our chase ended at 9/198 from 50 overs. Sahana Tarini brought up a classy half-century, finishing with 60 off 85 balls. Alexandra Sheedy made a superb 54 not out off 84 balls, a well-made fifty. For our opponents, Zoe Griffiths took three for 23 off ten overs.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again. Well played to the visitors.
